The ridgeline does not begin.
It does not end.
It emerges and disappears.
It is clearer from a distance.
Not all mountains have them; those that do are younger, less eroded by time, wind, and rain.
The ridgeline joins opposing sides of a mountain like the line of a yin-yang. It is imaginary, a distinction made by our eyes and minds, like the distinctions between theory and practice, potential and capability, confidence and the lack of it, teacher and student, content and delivery.
And yet, it is a helpful path across a mountain.
